Southeast Regional HIA Summit comes to Davidson
The Town of Davidson has been at the forefront of studying how design can help shape healthy communities and one of the main tools they use to help them with this is the Health Impact Assessment or HIA. HIA is a decision support tool, providing information on the potential health impacts of a policy, plan, project, or program to decision makers (commonly outside of the health sector) prior to the decision being made. Starting on July 31st, the Town of Davidson will be hosting a HIA Summit for practitioners from across the southeast to come and share what’s working in their communities. The Davidson Village Inn is one of the host hotels for the Summit and we look forward to welcoming folks here in Downtown Davidson coming for the event. Everything is within walking distance from the Inn and some of the event speakers are staying here as well.
