We love the summer months! There are many things to look forward to, especially Concerts on the Green in Davidson, NC.

Summer also includes terrific performances by the Davidson College Common Thread Theater Collective and the Davidson Community Players. We also have a bountiful farmers market where you can pick up items for a picnic during an evening outdoor concert. It won’t even get dark until 9 pm on these pleasant summer nights! Concert Schedule

This summer, three free concert series are available in Davidson. Since they are held on different days, you will be sure to see one or more of them. Of course, that means you can attend a performance virtually every weekend from April through the end of August, followed by several concerts in September and October.

Concerts on the Green

This year, Concerts on the Green begin on the last Sunday of April as part of the April is for Arts celebration. The shows continue on the second and fourth Saturdays through October 12, with one Sunday performance on June 16. They take place on a stage outside the Davidson Public Library, facing the town green in Downtown Davidson. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the family-friendly music from 6 – 8 pm (rain or shine).

The line-up for this summer includes the Davidson College Symphony and Jazz Ensemble. There will be vendors with food and drinks to purchase, and there will be proximity to some great Davidson restaurants. Get some takeout, or visit before or after the concert!

Concerts at the Circles

Concerts at the Circles are held on the first and third Saturdays of each month, beginning on the first Saturday in May and continuing through October 19 (excluding the 2nd September concert). They are on Jetton Street between Peninsula Drive and Griffith Street. On concert nights, the block of Jetton Street closes for traffic between 4 – 9 pm. If you are staying with us at the Davidson Inn, it’s about a mile away.

Davidson’s Music and Makers covers the two 5th Saturdays in June and August, so all of the summer Saturdays are covered!

Make a Night of It

Plan to bring a picnic. Or check out one of our many great local restaurants and enjoy an excellent meal before or after the show. We suggest Carrburritos if you enjoy Mexican cuisine or The Soda Shop if you prefer a burger and milkshake. What better way to spend a warm summer evening than dinner and a concert?
