For many of us from the Tar Heel State we really don’t have much to complain about when it comes to winter. But this year I think you’d find more than your share of locals that are wondering what’s going on with the weather. Thankfully, today is the first day of Spring and the weather decided to cooperate. On Friday the Town will celebrate Arbor Day with a ceremony at the Roosevelt Wilson Memorial Garden at 11am, then on Saturday there’s a Green Davidson Eco Fair at the Davidson Farmer’s Market and a TreesDavidson planting along Jackson Street. A couple of the Wildcat sports teams are in town the weekend, the baseball team has a 3-game home stand against Wofford and the Lady Cats lacrosse take on Elon Saturday afternoon. On the musical side, there’s the Spring Chorale Concert at Davidson College Presbyterian Church on Friday at 8pm and the Concert Series with harpist, Andrea Mumm, Sunday at 3pm in the Sloan Music Center. We hope to see around town this weekend to enjoy spring.
