Artist Series This coming Monday Davidson College welcomes Jeremy Davis and the Fabulous Equinox Jazz Orchestra to the Duke Family Performance Hall at 8pm. Book a room at the Inn for Monday night, January 30th and we'll include two tickets to the show, all for $149 + tax based on availability.

Downtown Davidson is right around the corner Our downtown has some very unique shops and eateries, here a sampling of places to visit: Summit Coffee was voted the best college hang out, be sure to try some of their specialty blends or their great beer & wine selection. There are several restaurants right next door to the Inn. Bonsai Asian Grill has excellent sushi along with other Asian dishes and the newest addition to Davidson is Il Bosco, an elegant Italian restaurant two doors down from the Inn. Toast Cafe on Main St. offers a warm atmosphere with selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Down on South Main Street in the arts district you'll find the eclectic Restaurant X right next door to Fuel Pizza. In the old ice plant at South Main is Campania Cafe & Italian Gourmet Market. To catch your favorite game or choose from one of 50 draft beers, head over to the Brickhouse Tavern in the old cotton mill. For lakeside dining try the North Harbor Club. The newest restaurant in Downtown is the Flat Iron Kitchen and Taphouse in the Stowe Building just across the street from Ben & Jerry's. The Egg at Davidson Cafe in Sadler Square is a popular place for breakfast and lunch. We also have one of the area's finest collections of functional fine art at The Wooden Stone. How about a family owned gift shop that's been around for over 40yrs, The Village Store. Big Weekends at Davidson College The Class of 2015 looks to be another exceptional group of students. For a snapshot of life at Davidson College check out the latest version of the student produced, "The Davidson Show". There is a lot of activity on campus so check your calendars if you're planning a visit and let us book your room early. However, with only 18 rooms we often fill up quickly, so here's an update on some of our upcoming major events:
All of the following dates require a two night minimum stay: Graduation Weekend - May 18th & 19th, 2012 (no reservations accepted, rooms filled by lottery, see information below) Reunion Weekend - June 8th, 9th & 10th 2012 (no rooms available, please get on our wait list - see below) Freshman Orientation - August 23rd & 24th, 2012 (rooms available) Family Weekend - Fall 2012 (dates yet to be determined) Homecoming Weekend - Fall, 2012 (dates yet to be determined) Lottery - Reservations for Graduation and Family weekends are filled by using a lottery. If you would like to add your name to the lottery just email us with your name, contact information and your child's graduating class. Each time you stay at the Inn you will automatically receive an additional entry in the lottery. Lottery winners will be notified approximately two to three months in advance of the event. Wait list -If you would like to be added to our wait list you can email us with the dates you are interested in and we'll contact you if rooms become available. Remember, we don't overbook at the Inn, so we use our wait list on a regular basis. We offer gift certificates that can be tailored to your liking. An anniversary or birthday bash, a golfing getaway, a romantic retreat, you choose the reason and we'll make the arrangements. Just contact us at: 800-892-0796
