Ten years ago the merchants and businesses of Downtown Davidson started what has become one of the areas signature events, free Sunday evening concerts on the Village green. To celebrate our 10th anniversary season we' ve lined up 10 concerts with some great music, contests for best the picnic, and lots of fun for the family. There's lots of unique shops and eateries in town, here a sampling of places to visit: Summit Coffee was voted the best college hang out recently, be sure to try some of their specialty blends or their great beer & wine selection. For fine dining in town you can visit Bucci's Italian restaurant right next door to the Inn or Restaurant X on South Main Street. Or if you're looking for something more casual check out the Brickhouse Tavern in the old cotton mill. For lakeside dining try the North Habor Club. Don't forget about our favorite place for ice cream, Ben & Jerry's. We also have one of the area's finest collections of functional fine art at The Wooden Stone. Big Weekends at Davidson College For more information on what's happening on campus go to Calendar of Events or Sports Schedules Alumni and Parents are some of our favorite guests here at the Inn. However, with only 18 rooms we often fill up quickly, so here's an update on some of our upcoming major events:
Alumni Weekend - April ??, 2009 (dates for Alumni Weekend for 2009 have not been released yet, check back later for more info.) Graduation Weekend - May 16th & 17th, 2008 (no reservations accepted, see below for information about our lottery) Freshman Orientation - August 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2008 (no rooms available, see below for information about our wait list) Homecoming Weekend - September 26th & 27th, 2008 (no rooms available, see below for information about our wait list) Family Weekend - October 24th to 25th, 2008 (no reservations accepted, see below for information about our lottery) Lottery - Reservations for Graduation and Family weekends are filled by using a lottery. If you would like to add your name to the lottery just email us with your name, contact information and your child's graduating class. Each time you stay at the Inn you will automatically receive an additional entry in the lottery. Lottery winners will be notified approximately two to three months in advance of the event.Wait list -If you would like to be added to our wait list you can email us with the dates you are interested in and we'll contact you if rooms become available. Remember, we don't overbook at the Inn, so we use our wait list on a regular basis. We offer gift certificates that can be tailored to your liking. An anniversary or birthday bash, a golfing getaway, a romantic retreat, you choose the reason and we'll make the arrangements. Just contact us at: 800-892-0796
