A Beer Lover’s Guide to the Best Beers at Primal Brewery

Primal Brewery is the ultimate haven for beer lovers in the Charlotte region.  Located on Old Statesville Road in Huntersville, Primal Brewery was founded in 2013 and has been treating locals to their micro-brews ever since.  With live music events, an outdoor seating area and cozy indoor space, Primal Brewery is one of the best places around to grab a beer.

Co-owners David Hoy and Ray Steimel are Huntersville locals and started their career as homebrewers.  The friends created Primal Brewery as a place where the community can come together.  You won’t find sports playing in the background because there are no televisions inside.  Rather, the walls are lined with local art and even old wood from a Huntersville barn.  It’s cozy yet rustic all rolled into a great hangout spot.

In addition to quality beer made in small batches, Primal Brewery serves either red or white wine.  On most days, you’ll also see a local food truck parked outside the brewery.  It’s the perfect way to pair your beverage with delicious local cuisine.

Primal Brewery is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 10:00pm.  On Friday’s and Saturday’s from noon to 11:00 pm and lastly on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The weekend is a great time to stop by because of their live music events every Saturday night.  Furthermore, when the weather is nice, you can grab a seat at the picnic tables outside and either enjoy a game of corn hole or life-sized Jenga.  During the colder seasons, find your way to the couches inside next to the roaring fireplace.

Halloween is a festive time to visit Primal Brewery.  Primal Brewery currently has a tasty Pumpalicious Punkin Ale on tap.  Make plans to visit the brewery on October 29th for their annual Halloween Party.  There will be live music by Silver Train and also a costume contest.  Come out dressed as your favorite Primal beer character for a chance at one of 3 top prizes.
